Who this is for:

Investors (analysts, principals, VPs, GPs) actively working in VC who have insights to share from their work with founders and startups.

What you'll leave with:

How the 2 week sprint works:

Before: Once you join the sprint, you'll receive a short questionnaire about where you are as a VC, where you're at with LinkedIn, and the challenges you're having.

During: Each weekday you'll receive an email where you learn one thing and take one action that will take you between 5-20 minutes to complete (10 in total). You will then post the proof of your action in our private community.

There will be two group calls with Q&As with me so you can get help with whatever you're stuck on.

Week 1, Foundation: Content pillars, profile, target list, commenting. First post shipped.

Week 2, Action: Sourcing, writing and shipping workflow, routine. 2-3 posts shipped.

Who is leading this sprint:

Hey, I'm Tyler Koenig.

I'm a copywriter and content lead, formerly at CapitalG ($6B AUM), currently with Google-incubated BAG Ventures. 12 years in tech as a consultant and writing coach.

Why you should do this sprint:

Lived experience is all we have left. Neither me or this challenge is anti-AI, but I believe that writing and sharing our work, imperfectly and consistently, is the only way to differentiate. For everyone but especially for VCs.

When capital is everywhere, founders need to know who they can trust. This proof (aka a personal brand) will be a key differentiator in the coming years.

LinkedIn is the only place you can go from basically zero to thought leader in a year. It doesn't always feel great or natural to use, but it's the thing. It should represent you well.

FAQ

How much time does it take?
About 10 minutes a day for commenting, one 30-45 minute call a week, and some time to write your posts. About 2 hours per week (about 5% of your work time).

What if I miss a call?
Every call is recorded and you get access afterward.

Why is it daily emails?
Again the goal is behavior change. If it's not daily, it'll fall off.

Will I have to share private info about my founders?
No. You record your calls for yourself, but the posts you create will be anonymous, unless you want and have permission to share details.

Will you be ghostwriting my content?
No. I will provide feedback and help you edit but you will be doing the writing.

What if I have no posts yet?
That's the starting point.

Who else is in it?
Other investors at a similar stage of showing up on LinkedIn, [10-12] in total.

Is this relevant for angel investors?
Yes, if you're regularly interacting with the companies you back.

I'm not a VC. Can I join?
If you're regularly speaking to founders and/or investment teams as part of your work, maybe you're a scout or a fellow, then yes. If you're not sure, send me an email.

Not ready yet?

Leave your email and I'll let you know about the next run.
